LAS VEGAS, NV — Winning at the NCA All Star National Championship in any division is no easy feat. Winning a back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back (that’s 9 consecutive), NCA All Star National Championship title is, until today thought to be impossible. History has been achieved, the California All Stars Blackjacks, Small Senior Coed 4, secured their ninth consecutive win at this season’s NCA event, held virtually due to the on-going limitations on gatherings because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
History has been made.
The California All Stars Blackjacks ninth-consecutive victory at the championship, sets a new record for consecutive wins at the event. Prior to tonight, that title was held by Spirit of Texas, dating back over a decade with eight victories.
The California All Stars Blackjacks finished at this years event with an astonishing 99.4 score.
A record that almost was not.

Notably, while nine consecutive wins by the Blackjacks is unfathomable and worth celebrating, this year’s victory and place in history was almost blocked. The Stingray All Stars Tampa, Beach Rays, a newer team to the Small Senior Coed 4 division (only in year three of existence) nearly upset the crowd favorite California All Stars team. With a 99.5 raw score at the 2021 NCA All Star National Championship, the Beach Rays fell just short of the team’s first victory at the event due to a .25 tumbling deduction. Regardless, posting a 99.25 Final Event Score with a deduction is unheard of.
This too close to comfort finish for The California All Stars, and a renewed eagerness from The Stingray All Stars to claim the top spot, sets up an epic future showdown at The Summit 2021 event slated for May 2021. The Blackjacks are looking for their 5th consecutive win at the end of season championship, while the Beach Rays look to upset history, once again.
